The morning light, the lily white, declare their Maker’s praise. This is my Father’s world, the birds their carols raise, This is my Father’s world: I rest me in the thought This is my Father’s world, and to my listening earsĪll nature sings, and round me rings the music of the spheres. This track is part of a hymn album that Wilder released in 2011 titled Oak & Apple, links below. Wilder’s folksy guitar playing brings a beautiful gentleness to this tune, perfectly complimenting the lyrics. I go, where you go, that’s what I call I faith (FAITH) MOTIVATION BEHIND THE SONG… LYRICSĮvolution, dinosaurs do I gotta take a pick?Ĭhrist gonna fix All the confusion all put to rest But God gives us everything we need to keep going. May my eyes ever long, for His kingdom come. May my feet ever walk in His glorious ways. May my lips ever praise God overwhelming. The only response I could have to a God of such grandeur and grace is to be overwhelmed and to say to that Lord, MY LORD, “Take every part of me my lips, my feat, my eyes… may my life ever be to God Overwhelming” – Gareth Maggs LYRICS However, knowing that I was one of those people who he loved so much that he would give his life, this left me with a flood of emotions. The God of all creation, just a few feet away from me, sacrificing himself for a small part of his creation people. I pictured myself standing before Jesus as he’s dying on the cross. (Give Thanks for King Jesus has conquered for us) The inspiration behind the song was seeing diversity, every colour and every race coming before our God praising for His love and for giving us His son Jesus Christ. God’s love has everything to do with who God is, and nothing to do with who we are. The kind of love that responds to someone who is loveable. It’s not what we think of when we say love, the kind of love that is an emotional response to someone who meets my needs. As far as I can tell, the Bible only gives one answer. Why did God become man? Why would he do that? This is the mystery that inspired this song.
